Carol City (Miami, Fla.) four-star defensive end Brandon Thomas announced on his social media, that he is committing to Western Kentucky University. Thomas chose the Hilltoppers over Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Syracuse, Troy, and others.
The 6-4 225-pound edge rusher had a whopping 32 offers throughout his recruitment process from schools such as Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, and others.
Thomas returned to the Sunshine State to finish his high school career after spending his junior season at St. Frances Academy in Maryland. Before St. Frances Academy, Thomas spent his freshman and sophomore seasons playing at IMG Academy.
Thomas becomes the 8th commit in the Class of 2025, joining Fredrick Douglas (Ky.) offensive lineman Jackson Dialls, Brentwood (Tn.) defensive lineman Kaiaulu Micatrotto, Westlake (Ga.) defensive lineman Sekou Peters, Perry (Ga.) linebacker Jordan Donald, Grayson (Ga.) wide receiver Alexander Sanchez, Naples (Fla.) defensive back Jordan Bergeron, and Stebbins (Oh.) offensive lineman Isiah Stoudemire.
Through three games so far this season, Thomas has picked up 18 total tackles (8.0 Tackles for loss) and 5.5 sacks, according to MaxPreps.
