The Florida Gators have landed their latest commit in the upcoming senior class on Sunday.
The latest comes from Miami Central (Miami, Fla.) three-star wide receiver who announced he is committing to the University of Florida on his social media platforms.
Montgomery chose the Gators over Florida State, Georgia, Penn State, and others. Montgomery is rated as the No. 18 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 30 prospect in Florida, according to 247Sports. Throughout Montgomery’s recruitment process, he held 50 D-1 offers from multiple Power 5 schools.
“There were a lot of factors that went into it, but it was how much they stayed in contact with not just me, but my family,” Montgomery told 247Sports. “I wanted my coaches to check on my family and see how they were doing” he added.
Montgomery took an official visit to Gainesville back in May, where he met quarterback commit DJ Lagway where he said “Every time I met with DJ he wants me to be his X receiver.”
With Montgomery heading to The Swamp he is the third wide receiver in the 2025 class as he joins West Broward’s Joshua Moore and Jones (Orlando) wide receiver Vernell Brown III.
