The former University of Oklahoma commit has found a new home.
Four-star defensive lineman Floyd Boucard, out of Miami Central High School has committed to Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans. Boucard chose the Trojans nearly three weeks after de-committing from Oklahoma which caught many people by surprise.
Boucard chose the Trojans over Auburn, Colorado, Miami, Penn State, and several others.
Boucard took an unofficial visit to Los Angeles last weekend for the Trojans’ Big 10 home opener against Wisconsin where he wanted to make a decision real soon. “It was best for me to decide now so I can focus on my team for the rest of the season” Boucard told 247Sports.
“I love how they rotate defensive lineman in and out as well as their resiliency on both sides of the ball, as I watched the Trojans erase a 17-point halftime deficit,” Boucard added.
Before moving to the United States, Boucard grew up in Montreal, Canada where he was big into hockey and basketball. The 6-3 315-pound defensive lineman played his junior season at Mobile Christian (Ala.) where he racked up 85 total tackles (27 tackles for loss) and 11 sacks helping lead the Leopards to a 15-0 record and bringing home the AHSAA Class 3A State Championship.
According to MaxPreps this season, Boucard has recorded 10 total tackles (6 tackles for loss) and just three sacks in four games for the Rockets. Miami Central currently sits with a 4-1 record and is currently ranked No. 29 in the nation.
USC currently stands at 21 commits for the upcoming cycle as Boucard is joined by Corner Canyon (Utah) wide receiver Jerome Myles, Carrollton (Georgia) quarterback Julian Lewis, San Clemente (California) linebacker Matai Tagoa’i, Buford (Georgia) linebacker Jadon Perlotte, Thomas County Central (Georgia) safety Kendarius Reddick, Seminole Ridge (Florida) linebacker Ty Jackson, Upland (California) defensive back Trestin Castro, Oaks Christian (California) defensive lineman Hayden Lowe, Williamson (Alabama) offensive tackle Carde Smith, Dekaney (Texas) wide receiver Tanook Hines, Christian Brothers College (Missouri) wide receiver Corey Simms, Milford Mill (Maryland) wide receiver Romeo Ison, Oakland (Tennessee) athlete Daune Morris, Southlake (Texas) running back Riley Wormley, Carrollton (Georgia) defensive back Shamar Arnoux, Bellevue (Washington) offensive lineman Willi Wascher, Dinwiddie County (Virginia) running back Harry Dalton III, Douglas County (Georgia) wide receiver James Johnson, Lake Travis (Texas) defensive lineman Gus Cordova, and Santa Margarita Catholic (California) offensive tackle Elijah Vaikona.
