The high school football season officially kicks off on Thursday when the No. 1 ranked team in Florida IMG Academy Ascenders travel cross-country to Draper, Utah to take on the Corner Canyon Chargers.
Both teams are also ranked in the Top 25 in the nation, according to SBLive.

The Ascenders feature dozens of prospects who have high potential to play at the next level where they’ll be led by senior linebacker Gavin Nix (Miami commit), junior defensive lineman Elijah Golden (Holds offers from Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and others), senior defensive back Major Preston (Ole Miss commit), senior wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright (Washington commit), senior quarterback Ty Hawkins (TCU commit) just to name a few.

The host Chargers will be led by a strong passing attack that features junior quarterback Helaman Casuga (Holds offers from Arizona, Auburn, BYU, Oregon, TCU, and others), senior running back Bryton Brady who is coming off an explosive 281 rushing yards performance in a 70-42 win over American Fork (Utah). Another name to keep an eye on is senior wide receiver Chryshaun Lee who hauled in four touchdowns in last week’s win.
The Chargers are expected to get back their 5-star wide receiver Jerome Myles, the No. 1 ranked wide receiver in the state of Utah, according to 247Sports who holds offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC, Utah, and several others.
