Florida High School Football Top 100 Players- Class of 2025 (30-21)

As we get set for another high school football season, we will be revealing our Top 100 players to watch for in their respective classes. We will start with the senior class, followed by juniors, and then sophomores. The following players are ranked by their collegiate potential and the impact they made during the 2023 season.

#30 Chris Ewald– Chaminade-Madonna

Position: Defensive Back

Commitment: Miami

Ewald is an ultra-aggressive cornerback who often gets snaps as a wide receiver. Despite his measurements listing him at 5’11, he plays bigger than that as he has a ton of length and a great set of hands. He can play man coverage and zone at a very high level. Should be viewed as a primary target for bigger receivers when he gets to the next level.

2023 Stats: 45 total tackles, 20 pass breakups, 2 interceptions

#29 Myron Charles– Port Charlotte

Position: Defensive Line

Commitment: Florida State

Charles is an interior defensive lineman with a combination skillset of elite size and athleticism. He plays better going against elite competition as he uses his strength to an advantage despite having adequate flexibility in his knees. Look for Charles to have an immediate impact as he has high potential to play very well at the Power-5 level.

2023 Stats: 29 total tackles, 1.5 sacks

#28 Cortez Mills– Homestead

Position: Wide Receiver

Commitment: Oklahoma

Mills is a freakish athletic wide receiver who has great footwork when it comes to his route-running ability. The 6’1, 185-pounder does a great job when it comes to using his athleticism to win the 50/50 ball against the defensive backs. As a junior, Mills was selected to the All-Miami Herald 4M-3M Offensive Team.

2023 Stats: 79 receptions, 1640 yards, 18 touchdowns

#27 Ty Hawkins– IMG Academy

Position: Quarterback

Commitment: SMU

Hawkins began his high school football career as a wide receiver before making the transition into being a quarterback. He is a decisive pocket-passer who can hit his primary targets with a simple stroke where his strength is finding the deep ball. Hawkins made the move to IMG Academy before the start of his senior season.

2023 Stats: 68% completion (132-of-194), 2093 yards, 24 touchdowns, 5 interceptions (Passing) 94 carries, 833 yards, 14 touchdowns (Rushing)

#26 Gregory Xavier-Thomas– American Heritage Plantation

Position: Safety

Commitment: Florida State

Measured at 6’2, 190 pounds, Thomas found instant success when he was getting snaps at cornerback and safety. Thomas has a strong understanding of passing assignments when in zone coverage as he creates havoc in the boundaries. He has elite speed to keep up with receivers and uses his size to an advantage on the deep ball.

2023 Stats: 19 total tackles, 2 interceptions

#25 Ladarian Clardy– Escambia

Position: Safety

Commitment: Uncommitted

Clardy listed at 5’10 is unafraid when it comes to laying down a hit with purpose. He has a track background where he has a high bounce when it comes to defending the pass. Clardy is very twitchy when it comes to playing with toughness and could have the opportunity to play nickel at the next level. He often will get snaps as a wide receiver where he can be very explosive whether it’s in the slot or on the outside. Clardy is expected to announce his commitment next month between Florida State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UCF and Washington.

2023 Stats: 57 total tackles, 4 interceptions (Defense) 8 catches, 163 yards, 4 touchdowns (Offense)

#24 Ziyare Addison– Carrollwood Day

Position: Offensive Line

Commitment: Oregon

Addison has all the tools whether it’s his strength, length, or athleticism. He checks all the boxes where he can play the tackle or guard position at a high level. Addison is very quick when it comes to initiating contact where he will frequently seal off the lanes with great balance and footwork. Addison could be viewed as a multi-year starter when he gets to Eugene next fall.

#23 Amari Wallace– Miami Central

Position: Safety

Commitment: Miami

The 5-11 safety has a ton of experience when it comes to playing man coverage as well as deep coverage where he takes away the passing lanes. Wallace also has a ton of experience where he was used as the return man where he took a few kicks back for touchdowns earlier in his high school career.

2023 Stats: 28 total tackles, 3 interceptions

#22 Hylton “Drake” Stubbs– Mandarin

Position: Safety

Commitment: Miami

The 6-1 safety has a great all-around game where he can stop the pass as well as the run. Stubbs does a great job when it comes to tracking the ball as he has great vision at reading along with the quarterback’s eyes. He can add a ton of versatility at the next level whether he’s covering the opponents’ No. 1 receiver or using his strength to cover tight ends. I fully expect Stubbs to be a multi-year starter when he gets to Coral Gables by this time next year.

2023 Stats: 97 total tackles, 6 interceptions, 2.5 sacks

#21 Michael Carroll– IMG Academy

Position: Offensive Line

Commitment: Alabama

The Doylestown, Pennsylvania native made the move to IMG Academy before the start of his senior season. Carroll is a two-way prospect who gets snaps as a defensive end where he was often used as a primary blocker and not as much of an edge-rusher. During his junior season, Carroll had 37 pancake blocks on the offensive end for Central Bucks East (Pennsylvania).
