Florida High School Football Top 100 Players- Class of 2025 (10-1)


As we get set for another high school football season, we will be revealing our Top 100 players to watch for in their respective classes. We will start with the senior class, followed by juniors, and then sophomores. The following players are ranked by their collegiate potential and the impact they made during the 2023 season.

#10 Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng– IMG Academy

Position: Linebacker

Commitment: Uncommitted

The 6-0 200-pound linebacker has plenty of development in his game and has continued to rise the rankings since he enrolled at IMG before the start of his junior season. He has the intangibles to cover tight ends on short or long routes. He has high potential to be a multi-year starter once he gets to the next level.

2023 Stats: 45 total tackles (6 Tackles for loss), 1 fumble recovery, and 1 sack in eight games.

#9 Ivan Taylor– West Orange

Position: Safety

Commitment: Michigan

Taylor has a high ceiling as far as future NFL prospects go as he is quick-footed and has plenty of athleticism to cover wide receivers whether it’s in space or at the line of scrimmage. He does a great job when it comes to tackling in the open field where his quickness has become one of the elite runners in the country.

2023 Stats: 45 total tackles (6 Tackles for loss), 1 interception in nine games.

#8 Javion Hilson– Cocoa

Position: Defensive End

Commitment: Florida State

Hilson has added 10 pounds of muscle since the spring of his senior season where he can make tackles from outside the box. He has also increased his flexibility and can get to the quarterback with his physicality and the pressure he puts on the line of scrimmage. Hilson could emerge as a multi-year starter at the next level as he continues to put more mass into his frame.

2023 Stats: 97 total tackles (27 Tackles for loss), 14.0 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

#7 Dallas Wilson– Tampa Bay Tech

Position: Wide Receiver

Commitment: Oregon

Wilson measures at 6’3 190 pounds has smooth hands and is one of the most elite footwork from the wide receiver position in this class. He’s not the most explosive wide receiver when it comes to yards after catch but he is very explosive when he uses his physicality and speed to find green grass ahead of him. Could be viewed as one of the top pass-catchers in the senior class as well.

2023 Stats: 49 catches, 872 yards, 9 touchdowns

#6 Solomon Thomas– Raines (Jacksonville)

Position: Offensive Line

Commitment: Florida State

Thomas is a multi-sport athlete, and he also took part in the discus and shot put in track and field. He also took part in basketball earlier in his high school career. Look for Thomas to play either tackle position when he gets to the next level.

#5 Vernell Brown III– Orlando Jones

Position: Wide Receiver

Commitment: Florida

Brown is a multi-versatile athlete with pure quickness in his route running skills. He can impact the game on all three phases whether it’s at wide receiver, defensive back or even returning kicks on special teams. Look for Brown to add a ton of value and versatility on Saturdays when he gets to the next level.

2023 Stats: 70 catches, 1363 yards, 10 touchdowns (Offense) 4 kickoff returns, 135 yards (Special Teams)

#4 Jershaun Newton– Clearwater Central Catholic

Position: Quarterback/Linebacker

Commitment: Illinois

Newton is the true definition of a versatile athlete where he is the Marauders starting quarterback and can also play on the defensive end as well. Newton is also a multi-sport athlete where he plays basketball and averaged 7.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game as a sophomore.

2023 Stats: 65.0% completion (132-of-203), 2084 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, 6 interceptions (Offense) 7 total tackles, 4.0 sacks (Defense)

#3 Jamie Ffrench– Mandarin (Jacksonville)

Position: Wide Receiver

Commitment: Uncommitted

Ffrench measures at 6-1 185-pounds is a skilled route-runner and has excellent hands where he can catch anything thrown in his general direction. He brings a high IQ despite not having explosive yards after the catch but has a strong understanding of the yardage that’s given to him. Expect Ffrench to have a early development as he could play right away at the next level. He is the younger brother of Maurice Ffrench who currently plays for the Los Angeles Chargers.

2023 Stats: 62 catches, 1247 yards, 14 touchdowns

#2 Floyd Boucard– Miami Central

Position: Defensive Line

Commitment: Oklahoma

Boucard comes over to Miami Central from Mobile Christian (Alabama) where he was a two-way prospect getting snaps at tight end and running back as well. He was part of a Mobile Christian squad that went 15-0 and won the Class 3A title during his junior season. Also grew up playing hockey as he was born in Canada.

2023 Stats: 85 total tackles (27 Tackles for loss), 11.0 sacks

#1 DJ Pickett– Zephyrhills

Position: Wide Receiver/Safety

Commitment: LSU

Pickett measured at 6-4 180-pounds heading into his senior season is a two-way playmaker with dynamic skills on both sides of the ball. He is the tallest defensive back to come out of the 2025 recruiting cycle as his length plays a huge role in his game as well. Look for Pickett to play a big role at the next level as he could be viewed as a mid-round NFL Draft prospect as well.

2023 Stats: 52 catches, 1033 yards, 15 touchdowns (Offense) 31 total tackles, and 1 interception (Defense)
