The Longhorns landed five-star Florida Wide Receiver Jaime Ffrench on Friday morning.
Five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, out of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida committed to Texas on Friday morning, he told 247Sports’ and multiple recruiting services.
Ffrench chose the Longhorns over Alabama, Miami, LSU, Tennessee, and several others that came into his final schools.
The one-time Alabama commit told 247Sports why he chose Texas: “Definitely the production that Coach (Jackson) has been able to do.”He’s even polished those guys the one year he had with them” Ffrench added.
Ffrench took an official visit to Austin back in June where he had a great relationship with Coach (Sark) as well. “I’ve only been here once, now this being twice just really showed that I need to come to Austin, Texas” Ffrench told 247Sports’ Hank South.
Ffrench is the second 5-star prospect in the Class of 2025 to head to Texas, joining safety Jonah Williams (Ball High School in Galveston, Texas). Ffrench is also the 19th member from this upcoming cycle to join the Longhorns and the second wide receiver as Kaliq Lockett committed earlier in the month.
Ffrench helped lead Mandarin to the Class 4M State Runner-up as a junior last season, with 62 catches for 1247 yards and 14 touchdowns. Junior Season Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/v/2MqFaS
