2025 4-star PG Jalen Reece Names Top 3 Schools, Sets Commitment Date

The No. 86 overall ranked player, according to the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings has cut his list of schools down to three. He’s also scheduled to announce his college commitment this week:

Oak Ridge (Orlando, Fla.) four-star point guard Jalen Reece has narrowed down his top schools list to three: Cincinnati, LSU, and Providence will be in the running to recruit the point guard from Central Florida.

The 6’0 senior point guard also has confirmed with 247Sports’ and multiple media outlets he will be making his college decision announcement on Wednesday, October 16.

Reese has taken official visits with each of the three finalists and had an exclusive interview with 247Sports’ Recruiting Analyst Travis Branham on which schools are intrigued by him.

Reese on Cincinnati: “They treated me well up there, and I feel like it could be a possible way to go.” I have family there and I’m really close with Jizzle James so he told me a lot about the place. Just knowing it’s a place I could be, going back home would be cool. I’ve also spent a lot of time in Cincinnati as I have family from there.”

Reese on LSU: “It was a great visit, I was just there with my bro (Mazi Mosley). He’s a cool guy and liked it a lot.”

Reese on Providence: “I am looking forward to possibly teaming up with my high school teammate (Jamier Jones), he’s like a brother to me. Just having the opportunity where we could maybe play together is a good opportunity.”

Reece was among the top assist leaders this past season, averaging 4.4 per contest to go along with 11.3 points per game helping lead the Florida Rebels to a 9-6 record.

247Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein on Reece: Reece is a skilled, tough, and high IQ point guard who has a tight handle, is quick and shifty that, makes those around him better, but has continued to improve as a scorer. Over the last few months, Reece has continued to put on muscle, get stronger, improving his ability to play and finish through contact and has continued to expand his range from three.
