The No. 76 ranked running back in the nation and No. 138 ranked prospect in Florida, according to 247Sports flips commitment.
On Thursday morning, Venice three-star running back Jamarice “Gata” Wilder de-committed from James Madison University and flipped to Louisville.
The Cardinals offered the senior running back on Wednesday night and is planning on making an official visit to campus next month.
“Me and running backs coach (Barclay) have had a great relationship and we talk a lot as he keeps it real with me. That’s why I’m making the decision I’m making now.” Wilder told Rivals.com’s John Garcia Jr.
Louisville currently sits with 12 commits in the upcoming recruiting cycle, as Wilder is the second running back on the board joining fellow Sunshine State native Jaylin Brown out of Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach.
The three-star running back registered 149 carries for 1,271 yards and 25 touchdowns last season as a junior.
What will Wilder bring to Louisville? “I’m going to bring the juice and energy,” Wilder said. “I’m a complete back. I can do everything and how they run the ball, all you have to do is make one miss, and you’re off to the races.” He added.
