Elite 2025 playmaker Jamar Browder, the No. 119 ranked wide receiver in the nation, according to 247Sports changes commitment.
On Friday morning, Santaluces (Lake Worth, Fla.) three-star wide receiver Jamar Browder flips his commitment from NC State to Michigan, according to multiple reports.
The 6-4 205-pound wide receiver has been intrigued with Michigan since September where he received the offer from wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy.
Browder took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor back in September for the game against Minnesota, and followed that by taking an official visit last weekend for the game against Oregon.
“The visit went well and I really enjoyed my time with the coaches and personnel” Browder told Brice Marich of 247Sports. They were just telling me how much I could impact their offense and how much of an immediate impact I can make.
So far this season, Browder has 40 catches for 801 yards and seven touchdowns through the air. He also has six carries for just 17 yards on the ground in seven games played, according to MaxPreps.
Browder is now the 19th commit for Michigan in the upcoming recruiting cycle, and the third wide receiver as he joins Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, La.) three-star Jacob Washington and Katy (Tx.) four-star Andrew Marsh.
According to 247Sports, Michigan has the No. 11 ranked recruiting class for the upcoming cycle and with the early signing day period just a month away expect the Wolverines to make a jump.
Here’s 247Sports Recruiting Analyst Andrew Ivins on Browder: One of the larger wide receivers in South Florida this cycle. Browder has always been an eye-catcher at various camps and offseason events. We were just waiting for him to take his play to another level, which is happening during his senior season. In his first four games, Browder has caught 20 passes for 350 yards. He has only scored one touchdown, but we’re not too concerned about the fact that he’s not finding the end zone because the tape pops.
Browder has displayed the ability to break off defensive backs by sinking his hips. He has also proven to be rather effective on in-breaking routes as he secures the football and turns upfield while building momentum. Browder’s grade jumped to a high three-star 88 this week. The two-sport athlete committed to NC State during the summer months, but recently picked up a tender from Michigan.
