2025 Names To Know- Part 2

The 2024-2025 High School Girls Basketball season is officially underway. These are five girls basketball prospects worth noting as we head into the season:

Janie BoydProvidence School (Jacksonville)

The 5-7 guard and Edward Waters University commit can shoot on all three scoring levels, draw fouls, and get to the free-throw line on the offensive end. She is an ultra-aggressive defensive player who puts pressure on the ball and can disrupt the opposition’s offense.

Molly DeanHilliard

The 5-8 shooting guard is a tough player with a high basketball IQ. She is tough on the offensive end and can shoot the three, shoot the short jumper, attack the rim, and score. Dean brings a tough mentality to the defensive end as well. She plays tough man-to-man defense and loves to steal it and take it the other way.

Savannah FergusonBloomingdale

The 5-10 shooting guard has a quick release off the catch and shoot and can create opportunities off the dribble with either hand. Ferguson is elite at finding the open spots to get her shot off in transition and is a player you can draw up dozens of half-court sets to get her good looks. Ferguson is signed to play collegiate basketball at Maine Maritime Academy.

Audrey HubbardThe Rock School (Gainesville)

The 5-8 shooting guard can do it all whether it’s pass, rebound, or score on all three levels. Hubbard plays with a high motor as well as initiates the offense whether it’s on or off the ball. Defensively, Hubbard plays with a ton of versatility where she can guard multiple positions using her length and athleticism to an advantage. She has a high IQ and has a ton of potential to play at the next level where she drew several offers during the July live period.

Kaya LangfordCanterbury (Fort Myers)

The 5-8 shooting guard has a nice form and is smooth as well as consistent. She will hunt her shot off screens, whether pin downs or fades, create opportunities off broken plays, and relocate to the open spaces beyond the arc after offensive rebounds. Langford can put the ball on the floor in transition and pull up from anywhere, and is just as deadly if not more when running the lanes without it.
