On Wednesday afternoon, Kathleen (Lakeland, Fla.) head football coach Saul Speights announced on his social media platforms, he has resigned after three seasons with the Red Devils.
Speights said in a statement: “I am formally resigning from my position as Head Football Coach at Kathleen High School. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the administration for the opportunity to lead and serve this incredible football program over the past three seasons.”
“Kathleen was the first and only place I have ever called home in my coaching career, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Over the course of eight seasons, I have had the privilege of working alongside exceptional educators, staff members, and students. Together, we faced both challenges and triumphs, and I will always treasure the bonds we’ve formed. My time at Kathleen has been nothing short of forgettable,” Speights added.
