The Hoop Feast: Top Performers (Part 2)

The 2nd Annual Hoop Feast hosted by IssaBucket Productions took place last weekend at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel. Over 150 teams from across the country took part in the two-day event.

HSSportsFlorida founder Ross Van De Griek was in attendance and here is a list of five performers that we had our eyes last weekend:

Myles FuentesRiviera Prep

Fuentes, A 6-1 junior shooting guard did it all on the offensive end whether it’s his perimeter shooting or his playmaking skills. On the defensive end, Fuentes played with a load of physicality and made things difficult for opposing guards. He finished with a game-high 18 points for the Bulldogs in a win over Ridge View (South Carolina).

Landyn ColyerSFA Academy

Colyer, A 6-6 junior combo guard has a strong knack where he can shoot the cover off the ball. He brought strong passing and rebounding abilities from the guard position where he used his length and athleticism to battle against bigger players inside. On the defensive side, he continued to improve using his quickness when it comes to applying great ball pressure. He finished with a game-high 18 points in a win over Hialeah Educational Academy.

Shon AbaevCalvary Christian Academy

The recent Cincinnati commit continues to play with a ton of aggression and confidence on the offensive end. In a win over Ridge View (South Carolina), he finished with a game-high 25 points and seven rebounds.

CJ MooreRidge View (South Carolina)

The 6-6 freshman combo guard played exceptionally hard on both ends of the floor, where he is very active on all three levels. He is a high-level rebounder and finisher when playing around the rim, where most of his scoring came off put-backs. On the defensive end, his ability to guard on the ball, as well as the passing lanes, caused havoc for opposing guards.

Khanye MossMater Lakes Academy

Moss seemed to be very adapted when it comes to scoring off of drives to the basket and is unafraid to finish at the front of the rim while absorbing contact. His release on his jump shot continued to improve as well, where he can score off the bounce as well as off the catch.
