City of Palms Classic- Day 1 Top Performers


FORT MYERS, Fla.- The 51st Annual City of Palms Classic officially tipped off on Wednesday with eight Top 25 nationally ranked teams and 40 of the Top 100 players in the nation on display.

Jalen Montonati (Owasso)– The 6’7 junior small forward and No. 10 ranked prospect in the Class of 2026, according to 247Sports, finished with 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field, 5-of-8 from behind the arc and nine rebounds in a 64-60 win over No. 2-seeded Long Island Lutheran (New York)

Alex Lloyd (Westminster Academy)- The 6’4 senior guard and University of Florida commit with a big second half for the Lions scoring 33 of his 41 points and emerging after a furious comeback attempt by the Lions. Lloyd went 17-of-21 from the free-throw-line, and most of his trips to the line came in the second half.

Caleb Holt (Grayson)– The 6’4 junior guard and No. 4 ranked prospect in the Class of 2026, according to 247Sports emerged onto the scene where he finished with a team-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. The Rams led from wire-to-wire over Central Catholic (Oregon) 96-55 and came into play today as the No. 4 ranked team in the nation, according to MaxPreps and SportsCenter NEXT.

Cameron Holmes (Millennium)- The 6’5 junior shooting guard was a scoring machine for the Tigers finishing with a game-high 22 points in a 64-53 win over Gateway Charter. Holmes scored 6 of his 22 points off second-chance scoring opportunities where he had seven rebounds (three offensive).

Myles Jones (Gateway Charter)

The 6’4 senior combo guard was the leading scorer for the Griffins, where he finished with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. Jones did a great job scoring on all three levels, whether he was playing as the primary ball-handler or playing off the ball.

Dante Allen– (Montverde Academy)

The 6’5 senior combo guard and Villanova commit finished with a game-high 30 points and six rebounds in a 96-77 win over Archbishop Carroll (Pennsylvania). When it came to getting his teammates involved as well as playing with a ton of athleticism on the glass. He showed great instincts in running the floor in transition and has expanded where he can score off the catch and off the bounce.
