As we get set for another high school basketball season, we will be revealing our Top 100 players to watch for in their respective classes. After revealing the Top 100 seniors across the Sunshine State, we will now feature the junior class. The following players are ranked by their collegiate potential and the impact they made during the 2023-2024 season.
#60 Evan Kramer– Calvary Christian (Clearwater)– @Evankramerr on X
Height: 6’3
Position: Combo Guard
Offers: Stetson
The 6’3 junior shooting guard is one of the most efficient perimeter shooters in the state for the junior class. Kramer can score, whether it’s off the catch or bounce, at a high level, where he shot 42 percent from behind the arc last season. His ability to defend on and off the ball has also taken a huge step in the right direction, and he is also an above-average rebounder for his size.
#59 David Nealy– Stranahan– @DavidNealy35522 on X
Height: 6’3
Position: Shooting Guard
Offers: Lafayette (D-I)
The 6’3 junior guard has taken huge strides in his game on the offensive end where he is more confident in taking shots from the perimeter. He’s also unafraid when it comes to challenging defenders finishing on the attack at either side of the basket. On the defensive end, Nealy can set the tone whether it’s jumping the passing lanes or using his length to challenge shots at the front of the rim. Look for his recruitment process to rise once he finishes his junior season as his stock continues to climb in the right direction.
#58 Ari Smith– Martin County– @Arismithh13 on X
Height: 6’3
Position: Point Guard
Offers: Bethune-Cookman (D-I)
A 6-3 junior combo guard is a quick scorer who is unafraid when it comes to finishing around the rim. He has proven he can mix up his shot selections as he can occasionally shoot from beyond the arc at a high level. On the defensive end, Smith can guard multiple positions covering a lot of ground whether it’s out on the perimeter or on the interior. Look for Smith to have a more improved sophomore season as he is becoming a name worth keeping an eye on. He currently holds an offer from Bethune-Cookman but don’t expect that to be his last offer as his recruitment process is just getting started.
#57 Zane Elliott– St. Thomas Aquinas– @_zanelliott on X
Height: 6’7
Position: Small Forward
Offers: N/A
Elliott is a difficult matchup for most defenders because of his size and frame. He brings a multi-level skillset on both ends of the floor, where he has a nice mid-range game on the offensive end. Defensively, he can grab the rebound and push the pace in transition as he has a smooth handle. He is also a very effective passer, where he finds teammates in stride and is also unafraid when it comes to shooting from the perimeter.
#56 Dallas Lambert– Port Charlotte– @dallaslambertt on X
Height: 6’4
Position: Small Forward
Offers: Kentucky (Football)
A 6-4 junior small forward is a pure left-handed shooter who can score on all three levels. Lambert thrives in the open court where he can create the offense when given space as he can score off the bounce as well as off the catch. He is an athletic wing who can rebound effectively on both ends of the floor as well as being very active in the passing lanes. Lambert will be a name you need to keep an eye on the next two years as he could start gaining interest from college coaches soon.
#55 Brody Church– Clearwater Central Catholic– @thebrodychurch on X
Height: 6’4
Position: Shooting Guard
Offers: N/A
The 6’4 junior shooting guard does a little bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor whether it’s initiate or play with physicality. He’s also a lethal threat when it comes to shooting from behind the arc where he shot 38 percent. On the defensive end, Church plays bigger than his size indicates as well as applying constant pressure on-the-ball. He also has a strong nose for the passing lanes where he can turn defense into offense in a hurry.
#54 Jayquan Freeman– Hialeah Educational Academy– @freeman_jayquan on X
Height: 6’7
Position: Small Forward
Offers: N/A
A 6-7 junior wing shows a lot of promise and athleticism when he has the basketball in his hands, as he can knock down shots from the perimeter as well as at the front of the rim. He has a huge upside when it comes to his defense as well where he can guard multiple positions using his elite footwork and lateral movement. Freeman’s game also stands out with his physicality and frame where he is able to get rebounds and push the ball in transition.
#53 Ethan Bergantino– Calvary Christian (Clearwater)– @ethanbergantino on X
Height: 6’3
Position: Combo Guard
Offers: Kentucky Christian University
The 6-3 junior combo guard is flashy and plays with energy on both ends of the floor where he can impact the game in a variety of ways. He is super strong when it comes to scoring on the attack while absorbing contact, as well as shooting from beyond the arc. Bergantino plays with purpose on the defensive end as well where he can guard multiple positions using his lateral footwork and activity in the passing lanes.
#52 Alexander Davis– Matanzas– @adabbis20 on X
Height: 6’8
Position: Power Forward
Offers: N/A
Davis is a big-body power forward and has a soft touch around the rim on the offensive end. He also runs the floor exceptionally well given his size and frame. He also has flourished in his game becoming more confident in shooting from the perimeter. On the defensive end, Davis is a smooth rebounder and ball-handler where he can get out in transition. Look for D-1 coaches to be on his radar by the time his junior season ends.
#51 Brandon Brazell– Martin County– @Brandon24skunk on X
Height: 6’6
Position: Shooting Guard
Offers: Bethune-Cookman (D-I)
Brazell is a multi-level skilled wing where he can be a threat to score from the perimeter as well as in the post. As a sophomore last season, Brazell averaged 16.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. On the defensive end, he can impact the game in a variety of ways with his length and athleticism. Excited for his upside as he goes into his junior season.
