Florida High School Basketball Top 100 Players- Class of 2025 (100-91)


As we get set for another high school basketball season, we will be revealing our Top 100 players to watch for in their respective classes. We will start with the senior class, followed by juniors, and then sophomores. The following players are ranked by their collegiate potential and the impact they made during the 2023-2024 season.

#100 Jordan FordDME Academy

Height: 6’4

Position: Shooting Guard

Commitment: Uncommitted

The 6’4 senior shooting guard transferred from Windermere Prep to DME Academy before the start of his season. Ford is a lethal and long athlete who can score on all three levels at the offensive end of the floor. Defensively, Ford plays with a physical edge and is unafraid when it comes to attacking the glass and rebounding on both sides. Most of his production comes in transition where he runs the floor exceptionally well for his size.

#99 KJ SmithWiregrass Ranch

Height: 6’3

Position: Point Guard

Commitment: Uncommitted

The 6-3 guard is very shifty when it comes to playing on the offensive end as he is a confident player as well as a facilitator. Smith has a smooth stroke when it comes to his jump shot as well as having a strong knack when it comes to attacking the front of the rim. Defensively, Smith is very comfortable when it comes to guarding on-the-ball as he uses his speed and versatility to be very active on the glass. Could be a difference maker this upcoming season as well as having high potential to play at the next level.

#98 Xavian CharlesPalm Beach Central

Height: 5’10

Position: Point Guard

The 5’10 guard is stronger than his size indicates as he plays with an ultra amount of aggressiveness on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Charles has a strong handle and knack where he can finish at the front of the rim while absorbing contact. Defensively, he plays with a ton of versatility where he can guard on and off the ball at a high level. Look for Charles to have a big time senior season as college coaches should intrigue on him.

#97 Hans DorleusJordan Christian Prep

Height: 6’8

Position: Power Forward

Commitment: Uncommitted

Standing at 6’8, Dorleus plays with the full package as he has a great amount of length and athleticism in his game. He is a perennial three-level scorer on the offensive end as well as an elite shot blocker on the defensive end. Dorleus currently holds an offer from Hartford University but expect that list to grow by the end of the upcoming season.

#96 Jed DickensNorth Florida Christian

Height: 6’10

Position: Power Forward

Commitment: Uncommitted

Dickens has become a matchup nightmare for opposing players for the last two seasons as he is a perennial three-level scorer on the offensive end. A two-sport athlete says a lot about his versatility as he also plays wide receiver on his school’s football team. He brings a strong inside presence on the defensive end with his elite footwork and ability to challenge shots at the front of the rim. Look for college coaches to pique interest in Dickens before his senior season ends.

#95 Jhett CarterAstronaut

Height: 6’6

Position: Shooting Guard

Commitment: Uncommitted

Carter is coming off his best season in his high school career, where he averaged 15.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Eagles. He has become a menace on both ends of the floor where he brings a smooth inside-out game on the offensive end. Defensively, Carter plays with a ton of physicality and his ability to cover all three levels has said a lot about his footwork. His older brother Jace is about to partake in his junior season at Texas A&M.

#94 Alex Pierre-LouisCoral Springs Charter

Height: 6’4

Position: Small Forward

Commitment: Uncommitted

Pierre-Louis is just about as potent of a scorer as anybody on this list whether it’s finishing around the rim or playing out on the perimeter. He is very consistent whether it’s playing off the bounce or catch and can be a problem for most defenses as he plays multiple positions. Defensively, he is a strong rebounder and is very confident when it comes to his handle at pushing the basketball in transition.

#93 Tre’von TorchonPotter’s House Christian

Height: 6’3

Position: Shooting Guard

Commitment: Uncommitted

The 6’3 senior guard is one of the most elite shooters from behind the arc when he gets going on the offensive end. Torchon can make defenders pay whether it’s scoring off the bounce or catch and has a strong knack when it comes to finishing with contact. Defensively, he can be very mobile as he has the quickness where he can guard on the ball as well as the length and strength to defend around the rim. Since the summer live period, Torchon has drawn interest from several coaches.

#92 Axel AcevedoMcKeel Academy

Height: 6’6

Position: Power Forward

Commitment: Uncommitted

The 6’6 senior forward is your traditional back-to-the-basket player where he has elite footwork to finish at the front of the rim offensively. Defensively, Acevedo shows a ton of resiliency where he can be very active in the passing lanes as well as playing in front of the rim challenging shots with his length. Could be a sleeper prospect for college coaches to attract as he heads into the upcoming season.

#91 Sterling MoodyImpact Christian Academy

Height: 6’6

Position: Small Forward

Commitment: Uncommitted

The 6’6 senior wing had a limited Grassroots session as he was dealing with a knee injury, but he has since 100% recovered. Moody plays with an elite level of athleticism and brings a huge presence on both ends of the floor where he affects shots in the paint. Offensively, Moody is a strong and capable scorer when it comes to playing on all three levels. He is a very smart player and has the tendency to knock shots down over taller defenders.
