As we get set for another high school basketball season, we will be revealing our Top 100 players to watch for in their respective classes. We will start with the senior class, followed by juniors, and then sophomores. The following players are ranked by their collegiate potential and the impact they made during the 2023-2024 season.
#60 Maddox Fowles– Western– @maddox_df on X
Height: 6’8
Position: Power Forward
Commitment: Uncommitted
A 6’8 senior forward can make his presence felt in various ways, whether it’s his rim protection on the defensive end or his ability to finish effectively on both sides of the basket offensively. Fowles does a great job when it comes to running the floor as well as improving his mid-range game on the offensive end. His shot blocking ability has continued to improve as well where he was averaging over 3.5 blocks per game last season.
#59 Cornel Wheeler– Wolfson (Jacksonville)– @Cornel_ijushoop on X
Height: 6’4
Position: Small Forward
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6’4 senior wing plays with a huge amount of athleticism and he is unafraid when it comes to attacking the basket on the offensive end. Defensively, Wheeler is a solid rebounder and confident in his ball-handling ability where he can push the basketball up the floor in transition. His passing ability has continued to improve as well as his decision-making on when to shoot versus pass. Looking forward to seeing Wheeler have an impact senior season where he could potentially play at the next level.
#58 Malachi Martis– Windermere Prep– @malmartis10 on X
Height: 6’6
Position: Small Forward
Commitment: Uncommitted
Martis is a vital three-level scorer, whether off the catch or bounce on the offensive end, where he can also play either the 1-or-2 guard. He is also very active when it comes to protecting the glass where he uses his length and muscle for position. Defensively, he is very active when it comes to playing the passing lanes and is very active when it comes to defending the perimeter. He can push the basketball up the floor in transition as he has great ball-handle skills.
#57 Aydan Clinton– Lakewood (St. Petersburg)– @iamaydan00 on X
Height: 6’8
Position: Center
Commitment: FIU (Football)
The 6’8 big man has a unique skill set where he is a back-to-the-basket type player doing most of his scoring around the rim. He has a soft touch where he can beat defenders off the bounce as well as the catch. He is a solid rebounder for his size and he plays with a competitive edge to his game.
#56 Sean Standifer– Lake Worth
Height: 6’5
Position: Shooting Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
Standifer is a long and rangy athlete who can get to his spots comfortably on the offensive end as he can score on all three levels. On the defensive end, he is a solid rebounder who can also run the floor exceptionally well in transition. He’s also a dynamic defender out on the perimeter where he can guard multiple positions.
#55 Christopher Maxon– Fort Pierce Central– @MaxonTwins on X
Height: 6’2
Position: Combo Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
Unlike his twin brother Christian, Christopher is more of the facilitator but don’t be fooled as he is lethal when it comes to shooting from the perimeter on the offensive end. He also moves exceptionally well without the basketball in his hands as he cuts to open spots at a high rate. Defensively, he is very good when it comes to applying pressure guarding on-the-ball and is very active in the passing lanes.
#54 LJ Katz– IMG Academy– @LJKatz4 on X
Height: 6’0
Position: Point Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
Katz has become a sleeper prospect in the senior class as he has dead-eye accuracy when it comes to shooting from well beyond the arc. He is a true floor general whether it’s facilitating to his open teammates or scoring in bunches on his end. Defensively, his on-the-ball guarding skills have improved since the start of his junior season, and is a solid rebounder for his size.
#53 Trey Card– Florida State University High– @TreyCard1 on X
Height: 6’6
Position: Combo Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
Card plays with a ton of physicality on the offensive end where he can be an absolute bruiser on the interior finishing at the rim. Defensively, he has great length where he can challenge shots with the best of them as well as running the floor for his size. Card currently holds offers from Albany State (D2), Central Arkansas, and Jacksonville University.
#52 Christian Maxon- Fort Pierce Central- @MaxonTwins on X
Height: 6’2
Position: Point Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6-2 rising senior point guard has one of the purest shooting strokes I’ve seen in the Class of 2025. Maxon can score on all three levels whether it’s off the catch or off the bounce he plays a very smooth game on the offensive end of the floor. His defensive mechanics have also continued to improve when he is guarding on the ball as he can force turnovers as well as be very active jumping the passing lanes.
#51 Jerry Ashley– Bishop Verot– @jerry_ashley11 on X
Height: 6’8
Position: Power Forward
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6-8 senior forward has a combination of skillset whether it’s length, size, and athleticism. Ashley is a great shot blocker and makes a living around the rim where he is an above-average rebounder on both ends of the floor. He has also gained more confidence and consistency when it comes to shooting from the outside. On the defensive end, Ashley has improved his footwork where he can guard out on the perimeter as well as in the paint where he forces the opposition into taking tough shots.
