As we get set for another high school basketball season, we will be revealing our Top 100 players to watch for in their respective classes. We will start with the senior class, followed by juniors, and then sophomores. The following players are ranked by their collegiate potential and the impact they made during the 2023-2024 season.
#80 Adyn Corbin– The Villages Charter– @Adyncorbin_1 on X
Height: 6’0
Position: Point Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6’0 senior guard continues to be a tone-setter, providing instant energy on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Corbin can be a primary ball handler as well as play off the ball at a high rate where he doesn’t need to score in bunches to give his team a win. Look for Corbin to have an impact senior season this year as The Villages look to get back into the Final Four for a third consecutive year.
#79 Saeed Adames– American Heritage Plantation– @saeedmoghaddam0 on X
Height: 6’6
Position: Power Forward
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6-6 senior wing can also play on the interior where he is a strong rebounder, as well as finisher on the offensive end. Since the beginning of his junior season, he has improved his ball-handling ability as well as his decision-making on the court. The next step in Adames’ game is to gain more confidence when it comes to shooting from behind the arc at a high clip.
#78 Tae’shaun Gelsey– Riverside (Jacksonville)– @GelsayTae on X
Height: 6’5
Position: Combo Guard
Commitment: Florida (Football)
The 6’5 combo guard brings a ton of physicality to his game where he can bump and bruise you on the interior, as well as having a smooth outside shot offensively. Defensively, Gelsey can guard multiple positions with his elite footwork and ability to jump the passing lanes with his athleticism. He is a high-level athlete who could get a lot of college interest to play football and basketball.
#77 Tre Jackson– Winter Haven– @TreJackson03 on X
Height: 6’4
Position: Shooting Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
A 6’4 shooting guard who has a strong knack when it comes to scoring on all three levels at the offensive end. Defensively, Jackson plays with a high motor where he can guard positions 1 through 4 at a high level, using his length and athleticism to challenge shots from anywhere in the half-court. He is also very disruptive when it comes to playing the passing lanes, where he should carry a ton of coaches attention.
#76 Alexander Springs– St. Cloud– @springsalex11 on X
Height: 6’0
Position: Combo Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
Springs plays with a high level of physicality and has no problem scoring through bigger bodies. He gets to the free-throw line often and creates scoring opportunities for others on the offensive end. His jump shot has improved since the start of his junior season as well. Defensively, Springs plays like a free safety and his activity in the passing lanes continues to improve. Springs could be a sleeper prospect heading into the upcoming season.
#75 Benny Fragela– Columbus (Miami)– @bennyfragela23 on X
Height: 5’11
Position: Shooting Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
Fragela might be one of the most slept-on prospects in this year’s senior class, as he is a pure knockdown shooter from behind the arc. His game gets under-looked as he is high school teammates with Cameron and Cayden Boozer where he has also been a part of the Explorers’ three straight state titles.
#74 Spencer Clayton– Barron Collier– @Spencer1Clayton on X
Height: 6’3
Position: Point Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6’3 senior point guard is coming off a great summer playing for SWFL Hoops RED 17U, where he picked up his first offer from Southeastern University. Clayton displays great handles and can score at all three levels on the offensive end. His defensive ability has also taken huge strides and has been primarily focused as one of the top guards in the Southwest Florida area. Expect him to have a huge breakout senior season and could be a huge focal point when he gets to the next level.
#73 Ethan Bertrand– Westminster Academy
Height: 6’3
Position: Point Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6-3 senior point guard is competent and plays with a ton of confidence when he’s on the floor. Bertrand makes all the right decisions and is a high IQ caliber player. He can impact the game in a variety of ways whether it’s his scoring around the rim or getting his teammates involved. He has a strong knack for his crisp passing ability and hits teammates on a dime at the front of the rim.
#72 Austin Leslie– Bishop Verot– @_AustinLeslie4 on X
Height: 6’7
Position: Combo Guard
Commitment: Uncommitted
The 6’7 senior wing is back in the Southwest Florida area after playing his junior season at The Rock School in Gainesville. Leslie plays with an ultra-aggressive asset on the offensive end where he can make plays happen whether it’s driving to the rim or shooting from behind the arc. Defensively, he is a high-level rebounder where he can push the ball up the floor in transition as well as having elite footwork for his size. Leslie could be a highly-recruited prospect in the Sunshine State following this upcoming season as he has interest from several schools.
#71 Jeremy Nixon– Kathleen (Lakeland)– @JeremyNixon_ on X
Height: 6’6
Position: Small Forward
Commitment: Uncommitted
A 6’6 senior who plays with a ton of strength and athleticism in his game where he flourishes around the rim and is quick to snag rebounds on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Nixon has a smooth handle and plays with a ton of confidence when it comes to bringing the ball up the floor. He is also very efficient when it comes to finishing against stronger and taller defenders at the front of the rim. Defensively, Nixon is very versatile where he can guard positions 1 through 4 with his elite footwork and hands that can be very active in the passing lanes. Nixon currently holds offers from Dean College (DIII), Edward Waters University (DII), New College of Florida (NAIA), and Webber University (NAIA).
