The 6-2 170-pound defensive back is long-armed and can battle with any receiver in any position at any given time. Howard is often viewed at times as the best receiver in the state as he is coming off an impressive junior season where he capitalized on so many catch-and-run opportunities. Howard isn’t a perennial deep-ball threat but has a quick first-step where he finds ways to explode into the open field on short routes.
As a junior last season at Western, Howard got snaps at QB, RB, and WR where he had 1397 total yards from passing, rushing, and receiving. Howard also was a key factor on special teams where he had a punt return for a touchdown with the Wildcats last season.

He was occasionally used as a safety on defense where he picked up an interception last season for the Broncos as well.

Carter will be one of the youngest prospects heading into his freshman season at Ohio State as he will turn 18 years old right before the 2025 College Football season.
